  • Pathogen-induced cellular signalling mechanisms with focus on viral respiratory pathogens (influenza viruses, respiratory syncytial viruses, rhinoviruses)
  • Investigation of the pathogen-host interaction of viral and bacterial respiratory pathogens (e.g. Staphylococcus aureus) or fungi (e.g. Aspergillus fumigatus) in simple and complex infection models
  • Investigation of cellular factors as targets for anti-pathogenic strategies
